Minimum spend, billing, trials, and no-inference boundaries
The GB capture shows Annual labelled “SAVE 10%” and a Monthly control, but standalone monthly plan totals are not displayed and are not inferred. All shown GB plan rates exclude applicable taxes and can be billed upfront or in monthly instalments. The official US capture separately offers six months free when WFM and Payroll are added before Nov 30; eligibility and stacking are not inferred.
Every admin user, administrator, and supervisor counts as a paid user. Monthly Lite, Core, and Pro invoices have a minimum monthly spend of USD $30, AUD $30, or GBP £20 from September 1, 2025. The minimum covers setup, support, technology, demonstrations, training, and 24/7 help.
Free trials are respected: upgrading 14 days before trial expiry starts payment in 14 days. Monthly invoices are usually generated on the last day of each month. Annual plans charge the year immediately; extra users/SMS are charged month-end at the plan’s monthly rate, while additional users can be pre-paid at a pro-rata annual rate.
New users are charged the full monthly per-user price even when added late in the month. Archived users are charged for the full month, and unarchiving a user also bills that full month. On monthly plans, plan changes can occur anytime without penalty, effective from the first of the current month, billed in the next run. Annual plans can add users but cannot change plan or lower employee count; cancellation before 12 months has no refunds.
Monthly cancellation pays through the current billing period; Deputy recommends cancelling at month end to retain full-month benefits. Former employees cannot be scheduled, but history is retained and they can be unarchived. Currency follows signup country: Australia/New Zealand are billed AUD, the UK GBP, and the US/all other countries USD. Charity and Flexi pricing are enquiry-gated; paid-onboarding limits, taxes, regional checkout totals, and unlisted payroll rates are not inferred.
