Payment, payout, cancellation, and tax boundaries
Payhip says PayPal and Stripe still charge their standard processor rates after a transaction on every plan. Customers can pay through PayPal or by card, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, Diners Club, and more.
Sales are deposited immediately after a transaction completes. An account can be canceled at any time, and signup requires no credit card.
Payhip automatically collects, reports, and remits digital EU/UK VAT and US/Canadian sales tax. Other taxes can also be configured and are reported back to the merchant. Charity discounts are available by contact, but the captured page does not publish a discount amount, so none is inferred.
Why the plans differ
Payhip deliberately avoids feature gating: all plans receive the same features. The captured difference is the monthly platform price and Payhip transaction fee—5% on Free Forever, 2% on Plus, and no Payhip transaction fee on Pro. Processor fees remain separate on every plan.
